HV Capacitors
Being over 20 years old, the HV capacitors can deteriorate. Mine measure at full capacity, so seem to be fine but if you want a new kit with slightly higher capacity and still fit into the original mounting these can be purchased from https://harbachelectronics.com
HV Capacitors:
Harbach detail the kit as follows,
“The FB-922 is an upgraded replacement filter capacitor block for the Kenwood TL-922 & TL-922A. This product features high-quality 2.5 amp ripple@ 100 hz, 6000 hr @ 105c automotive -grade 220 μF 450 VDC electrolytic capacitors . The original plastic capacitor mounting frames/spacers are re-used so that the completed kit fits back into the original sub-frame and bolts back into the amplifier in the original location. Includes Premium Harbach Electronics Board, 8 new screw type terminal Electrolytic capacitors, 8 x 3 watt 100k bleeder/equalisation resistors, 8 x 1n4005 Diodes,16 #10 3/8 sems screws,3 #10 bent solder lugs.“
